MIRACLE DAYS is an experimental folk duo from Los Angeles, California. Influenced by artists like Harry Nilsson, The Carpenters, and Os Mutantes, vocalist/violinist Dre Babinski and guitarist/producer Edson Choi have pulled from such eclectic influences to create songs described as “gossamer trails of light, a suspension of all weight… like streaking airplanes cutting through the sky at 45 degree angles, in pedestrian speed.” (Sean Moeller, Daytrotter)
Assisted by Dr. Dog personnel in Philadelphia, the band recorded a contemplative debut record with an adventurous pulse; a mix of bossa-inspired melancholy, off-the-cuff songwriting, and anxiety-filled sweetness. The album, Something for the Weight, is set for release in summer of 2013.
